DESCRIPTION
Resveratrol is a compound found in red grape skins and is a well-known and powerful antioxidant. Only 2% of oral resveratrol is absorbed as pure resveratrol. Resveratrol is metabolized in the small intestine into resveratrol glucuronide and resveratrol sulfate, which makes it possible to get about 50% of the oral taken dose absorbed by active transport. Due to the liposomal encapsulation, this 2% absorption has been increased.
